The first time you come to this site you might ask yourself.....Why is the design so simple? It appears to have been made in the early 90's. The reason behind this design choice is, it works! Google loves sites that are simple and don't have a lot of unnecessary code.
This technique of very basic html design has been used by some of the biggest websites in the poker world. Steve Badger uses this style on his popular Play Winning Poker site and his site ranks well for hundreds of poker keywords. Play Winning Poker is one of the top four poker sites according to data of online traffic reports from Compete and Quantcast. This is incredible, since he is one man competing against websites like Poker Listings and Card Player who have teams of people working on their websites. I know this because on another Steve Badger site, Poker Seo where Steve talks about SEO and strategies (or lack there of) for online poker rooms.
Randy Ray also uses this design technique for his websites. Randy Ray has done an excellent job using simple design and excellent content to create some of the best online resources for casino games. He owns the popular Blackjack Hero website and is now working on his latest project a poker site called Poker Tomorrow.
Randy Ray and Steve Badger have combined simple designs and concise content to acheive great success in the online gambling world.
This brings me back to why I chose this simple design...I want to make great sites and be successful!
